The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi greeted the makers of Kannada film ’22 July 1947’ that visited New Delhi to elicit the significance of the film. This is the debut film of Nanje Gowda in offbeat and commercial films director Vishaal Raaj. This is also the debut music direction of ‘Sangeetha Bharathi’ Sangeetha Katti. Suchindra Prasad, Achyuth Kumar, Sudharani, Nanje Gowda, Shobaraj, Laya Kokila, Satish and others are in the cast.

This is the first Kannada film trailer was viewed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The film 22 July 1947 focuses on the national flag and patriotism.

The film based on veteran journalist Sarju Katkar novel of the same title met the media recently. HS Doreswamy freedom fighter of this country present at Green House Raj Milan hailed the team and he explained how he was not able to fill Rs.200 for his son. I have in one way become corrupt for 200 rupees as my stay was in jail the 98 years Doreswamy recalled. He said he wants to live for two more years and tell the youths of this country on the significance of this country.

It was on July 22, 1947, constituent Assembly adopted Free India National Flag. After independence, the colours remained the same. The Dharma Chakra of Emperor Ashok was used in place of spinning wheel. The tri colour flag of Congress party eventually became the tri colour flag of Independent India.

Music director Sangeetha Katti from this film a mellifluous singer with Hindustani classical music recalled her moments with Prime Minister Narendra Modiji. When he asked your name is ‘Sangeetha’ after scoring music for this film, she happily explained her itself is Sangeetha from the birth.

Suchindra Prasad who appears to be having aversion to commercial films and media going behind it said this is the film that needs media support. It is well derived film he stated.

Director Vishaal Raj after ‘Ingale Marga’ has taken up another significant film for direction explained the satisfaction the making of this film has given him.

Producer Nanje Gowd wants to remake this film in Hindi. The dubbing to other languages is sure to happen after some time. He recalled the support of MP Suresh Angadi who watching the film brought it to the notice of Prime Minister of India. Later at Samsath Bhavan a meeting was also organised.

Cameraman Nagaraj Adavani, editor Kemparaj and others were present at the media briefing.
